My little brother Cameron graduated from the University of Texas at Austin last weekend. He didn't want to pay and arm and a leg for formal announcements, so I was thrilled when he came to me for a custom, affordable solution. I used traditional wording, type and layout for the invitation but used the #10 size card to make it a little more interesting. I had these laser-printed on Crest solar white paper and backed by Stardream copper paper that comes pretty darn close to UT's signature burnt orange. If you choose Tulum, Mexico for you wedding destination, chances are you're a down-to-earth, easy-going couple. Nan and Tim are definitely those people and wanted to keep their invitations clean and modern with hints of natural elements to maintain their vision of a laid-back wedding celebration. We used sage and pewter ink, minimal sans-serif typography and printed everything on 100% cotton paper. The pieces were then bundled with a simple brass paperclip and enclosed in a 6 x 8" sturdy kraft mailer with a belt label. Lindsay and Boris came to us wanting casual and rustic save the date for their Austin, Texas wedding. We used a kraft envelope and one of their adorable engagement photos taken by Mike Reed Photography. I also created the LKB wedding monogram to celebrate their new initials, and I have to admit it's one of my favorites.
