amanda & vincent's rose gold foil & gray letterpress wedding invitations

Amanda and Vincent were having a gorgeous, black-tie affair for their summer wedding in Great Neck, New York. We glammed up the invitations with rose gold foil and offset it with the perfect charcoal gray. We opted for Lettra's double-thick fluorescent white paper for a super-crisp and clean look. The large monogram and high-contrast palette gave it an overall romantic, yet modern feel, The full suite had a warm gray RSVP envelope, and a letterpressed RSVP card printed on cotton paper for a deep impression. The envelope was lined a botanical dogwood flower illustration, printed on with a barely blush pearlescent paper. ...

allison & chuck's mid-century winter wedding invitations

As Allison and Chuck were planning a black tie December wedding, we took a cue from the reception venue that was nestled along Houston’s Buffalo Bayou. We anchored the suite around a deep forest green to reflect the bayou’s lush backdrop of oak and pine trees on the water. The glimmers of copper were reminiscent of the city's lights reflecting on the water and embracing a holiday color scheme. The couple has an affinity for mid-century design (Palm Springs honeymoon!), so we incorporated the coolness and elegance of that era with typography and clean lines throughout the suite. We introduced...

adrienne + christian's bilingual letterpress wedding invitations

Hi! It's been more than six months since I've posted work on my blog. What happened? I had a baby and have been enjoying the life out of her and her big brother. Since we're currently summer, I'll start with Adrienne and Christian's invitations from August 2017. This couple was amazing to work with... and so patient as we corresponded and collaborated from different time-zones, as the couple...

kira + trey's tropical letterpress and rose gold invitations

When I first met with Kira and Trey, the top priority for the couple was to create a welcoming invitation that had hints of festive, tropical graphics and understated elegance for their four day celebration in the Mexican Riviera Maya. For the color palette, we steered clear of typical over-saturated “fiesta” colors, and selected natural, sunbleached colors accented by soft metallics. We honored Mexico’s flora and fauna by incorporating lush palms and sweet little animals throughout the invitation. No time was wasted to profess our love of tropical creatures -- we letterpressed a mischievous monkey on the dusty-blue envelope to...

kristen + michael's gold, rose gold & blush wedding invitations

Kristen and Mike tied the knot in the seaside city of Galveston, Texas on the weekend before Valentine's Day. As we brainstormed for their suite, they wanted it to be luxurious, romantic, beachy, and not overly formal. Gold foil and mix-and-match textures were a top priority. The invitation was gold foil-stamped on double-ply Lettra paper and duplexed with a metallic rose gold paper to give it extra thickness and texture. While the calligraphy font brought a major femininity factor, we consciously opted for a heavier block text on other pieces to bring in more masculinity. I always call the reception...
