Brooke and Don were hosting their wedding weekend in Tulum, Mexico and wanted their invitations to be sophisticated, romantic, bohemian and with hints of traditional Mexican design. To achieve a more sophisticated palette, we avoided vibrant festival colors, and found inspiration in the region's natural settings for a bold color scheme. No doubt, my favorite scene from Wizard of Oz is when Dorthy & Co. find themselves in the field of poppies as they approach the Emerald City. Kristen and Mike tied the knot in the seaside city of Galveston, Texas on the weekend before Valentine's Day. As we brainstormed for their suite, they wanted it to be luxurious, romantic, beachy, and not overly formal. Gold foil and mix-and-match textures were a top priority. The invitation was gold foil-stamped on double-ply Lettra paper and duplexed with a metallic rose gold paper to give it extra thickness and texture.
