Justine and Thomas were having a Long Island summer wedding, so we started off with a muted beachy palette - dusty blues, grays and gold foil. For the invitation we created a clean, nautical monogram that we could use on place cards, welcome itineraries and fun wedding day pieces. On the invitation, we did full gold foil for that extra wow factor! We alternated between a clean, mid-century type and classic script that was just a little reminiscent of Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic. Kristen and Mike tied the knot in the seaside city of Galveston, Texas on the weekend before Valentine's Day. As we brainstormed for their suite, they wanted it to be luxurious, romantic, beachy, and not overly formal. Gold foil and mix-and-match textures were a top priority. The invitation was gold foil-stamped on double-ply Lettra paper and duplexed with a metallic rose gold paper to give it extra thickness and texture. This bride was a dream client! An event planner, based in NYC, she had a good idea of what she wanted. Pretty, nautical-inspired invitations with a Maine moose sprinkled about. The moose is the magical beast of Maine's wildlife, and pretty close pronunciation of her new last name. How could we not? For the design, I embraced the geometrics of nautical flags throughout, steering clear of overdone anchors for a subtle nautical vibe. For the color palette, we started with crisp whites, and then sprinkled in sun-bleached ocean hues, kraft paper and touches of gold. Everything was bundled in kraft folder...

Mary's bachelorette party invitations were inspired by her laid back style, light breezy beaches and subtle quirky patterns. We wanted the invitation to look like Anthropologie was throwing a little party in the Hamptons -- I'd RSVP to that! The envelopes were lined with this gorgeous gold polka dot paper that was handmade in Nepal.
