Katie and Austin came to me looking romantic and elegant invitations for their Palm Springs wedding. We decided to use gold foil, dusty blue and cool gray for a romantic palette, and infused hand-illustrated elements into the suite to give it an organic touch. The invitation was a mix of dusty blue letterpress and gold foil, with hand-drawn floral illustrations and a delicate, gold-foil stamped wreath monogram. Justine and Thomas were having a Long Island summer wedding, so we started off with a muted beachy palette - dusty blues, grays and gold foil. For the invitation we created a clean, nautical monogram that we could use on place cards, welcome itineraries and fun wedding day pieces. On the invitation, we did full gold foil for that extra wow factor! We alternated between a clean, mid-century type and classic script that was just a little reminiscent of Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic. As Kelly and Michael were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted romantic Texas Hill Country affair with the slightest touch of rusticity. If Marie Antoinette were to tie the knot in Texas, this would be her invitation... For the invitation, we selected Crane's 100% cotton double-ply Lettra paper to achieve the best impression for letterpress printing and foil stamping.
