This one is so unique and a joy for me to share. I met Melissa Fitzerald and Joseph West in my previous career, working for Downtown Houston. I was so honored when they came to me for their wedding invitations, and I knew that we would come up with something that could only be for Melissa and Joe. I'm so late to share these invitations -- Lindsay and Michael were married a year ago today at a winery in Dripping Springs, Texas -- Happy Anniversary, Lightfoots! It was such a pleasure to work with Lindsay and catch up on life; we go WAY back to elementary school and swim team -- Go Surfers :) For the invitations, we designed them to be romantic, with some rustic touches to pay homage to the Texas Hill Country. Ashley and Garret were planning the most fabulous wedding and reception at Brazos Hall in the heart of downtown Austin. The turn-of-the century warehouse provided lots of inspiration for the invitations, as it's the quintessential example today's Austin, where old meets new with rustic wooden floors, exposed brick walls and sweeping rooftop views of the city. As Kelly and Michael were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted romantic Texas Hill Country affair with the slightest touch of rusticity. If Marie Antoinette were to tie the knot in Texas, this would be her invitation... For the invitation, we selected Crane's 100% cotton double-ply Lettra paper to achieve the best impression for letterpress printing and foil stamping. We used a dusty blue gray as the primary color, inspired by the muted tones of desert succulents and the bridesmaids dresses -- so chic!
