I first met Raquel when I was in college, and have gotten to know her more and more over the years as a smart, sweet and creative person. When her friends asked me to create her Summer Soirée baby shower invitation, I wanted to make it as joyful and bright as Raquel.
The background image was hand-painted with bleeding blue, green, yellow and peach watercolors, mixed in with saturated marks to create some fun movement. I hand lettered the names and reversed the text to keep it light and summery. To finish it off, I had it printed on a textured paper and paired it with a pastel peach envelope. I love, love, love the way it turned out.
