Every now and then I do small batches of addressing for my clients (I leave wedding calligraphy addressing to the pros.) I just discovered Tombow's dual brush pens. Where have these been all my life? They are going to make addressing envelopes much more fun.
For these bachelorette invitations, I used the brush side for the names, and the pen side for printing the addresses. I doubled-up on my downstrokes to give the names a nice, modern calligraphy look.
Tombow's dual brush pens come in dozens of colors. When you're practicing your brushstrokes, try using a lined, super smooth quality paper, like Rhodia's Classic Orange notepad. The binding is at the top so it's great for lefties, too.
