Andrea and Matt's wedding invitations were such a special project to work on. I've known the Matt since we were tiny tots, and I had a small part in introducing him to his lovely bride, Andrea.
While I can't take any credit for their undeniable chemistry and oh-so-fun wedding, I was lucky enough to work with them on their wedding invitations. We took a little inspiration from the wedding venue, the 1926-built Julia Ideson Building, which now serves as a public library in downtown Houston.
How perfect is her dress for a 20's-inspired soiree? The gown was even better in-person, dancing to the sounds of a live Jazz band!
Gold foil was a must! The gold foil on navy reminded me of real, hardcover books (remember those?) with embossed titles on linen spines. gorgeous hardcover books. While the colors were classic, the navy invitation added some unexpected drama.
